JOHOR, 12 May 2024 – A total of 505 MAF veterans, widows, and heirs were conferred the Malaysian Service Medal (PJM) at the Dewan Serbaguna Majlis Bandaraya Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru.

The recipients included 485 MAF veterans, 10 wheelchair-bound individuals and persons with disabilities, 8 widows, and 2 representatives, all celebrated for their unparalleled services and sacrifices while carrying out their duties.

The conferment is a tribute to the bravery and sacrifice of MAF veterans who have served and performed their duty to the country.

The ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Defence, YB Khaled Nordin, demonstrating the Ministry’s commitment to the welfare of MAF veterans.

Additionally, this award aligns with the 7th Pillar of the MINDEF Strategic Plan, which focuses on the Wellbeing Transformation of MAF veterans.
