KUALA LUMPUR, 23 April 2024 – Minister of Defence, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, presented donations to 40 selected recipients from the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), Kelab Kakitangan Awam Kementerian Pertahanan (KAKEP), the Association of Wives and Women Members of the Malaysian Civil Service (PUSPANITA), and MAF Veterans. The recipients included asnaf, single mothers, and individuals with disabilities. The donation was made in conjunction with the Ministry of Defence Aidilfitri Open House.

The Minister of Defence also handed donations to three MAF veterans' children who managed to obtain the LTAT – IIUM Umatic Scholarship.

Additionally, a one-off donation of RM 50 was given to 9,355 MAF Year 1 children for the 2024 school session, amounting to RM 467,750.00. Furthermore, a donation of RM 300,000.00 was provided as welfare assistance to MAF children with disabilities, including Autism, Dyspraxia, Learning Disabilities, and Down Syndrome.
