MINISTER OF DEFENCE’S VISIT TO KEM TERENDAK, MELAKA

MELAKA, 2 Mei 2024 - Minister of Defence Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Khaled Nordin, conducted a visit to the 94 Hospital Angkatan Tentera (94 HAT) and assessed the housing conditions of officers and army personnel residing at the Armed Forces Family Housing (RKAT) during his working visit to Kem Terendak, Melaka.

During the visit, the Minister of Defence received a briefing regarding the construction of the new 94 HAT Terendak Hospital. He then monitored the overall condition of the existing HAT.

The Minister of Defence also personally inspected the housing conditions of the officers and army personnel residing at the RKAT. A total of 3,964 housing units are available for personnel on duty at Kem Terendak.

Following the inspection, a mock cheque was presented for the RKAT Maintenance Allocation and Accommodation Block worth RM 3,165,000.00. Additionally, the disbursement of the MADANI Education Contribution by the Armed Forces Fund Board Foundation (YLTAT) for Year 1 MAF children for the year 2024 was announced.

The visit concluded with the presentation of welfare assistance to 10 recipients, comprising the children of personnel suffering from chronic diseases. Each child received a one-off cash aid worth RM 300.00 and hampers worth RM 200.00 from the Malaysian Army.
