KUALA LUMPUR, 6 June 2024 – A total of 94 students received incentives through the Public Universities (IPTA) and Foreign Universities (ULN) Assistance 2024 programme. In the IPTA category, 84 students received incentives worth RM1,000 each, while ULN recipients received incentives worth RM2,000 each. The ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Defence, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, at the Wisma Pertahanan Auditorium.
This presentation ceremony has long been a tradition and a signature incentive programme of the Armed Forces Trust Fund Foundation (YLTAT) to celebrate the academic excellence of Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) children. YLTAT plays a crucial role in coordinating initiatives related to educational development, which can lead to a 'multiplier effect' in the development of competitive individuals, in line with national education aspirations.
It is hoped that this recognition will inspire and act as a catalyst for MAF children to follow in their parents' footsteps in the foreseeable future.
Additionally, the Minister of Defence presented a mock cheque donation for the Sentuhan Elit Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) 2023 Programme, worth RM295,704, from ILTIZAM by Equinas. This donation aims to support the implementation of the Sentuhan Elit SPM 2024 Programme, demonstrating strong support for solidifying the readiness of MAF and Ministry of Defence children.
