REPUBLIC OF TURKIYE, 9 June 2024 – Minister of Defence, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin arrived in Ankara to commence his official five-day working visit.

The Minister of Defence is set to conduct a meeting with his counterpart, the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Turkiye, H.E. Yasar Guler,and chair the inaugural Malaysia-Turkiye High Level Committee on Defence Cooperation (HLC) meeting.

Additionally, he will meet with the President of the Defence Industry Agency (SSB), Prof. Haluk Görgün. The SSB is an institution established by the Republic of Turkiye to manage the nation’s defence industry and provide military technologies. The meeting will also include discussions with its subsidiary, STM.

During the meeting at SSB, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Government-to-Government Procurement for Defence Products and Collaboration Agreements involving defence industry players from Malaysia and Turkiye will be signed.
