KUALA LUMPUR, 14 May 2024 – The 59th Five Power Defence Arrangements (FPDA) Consultative Council (FCC) Meeting was jointly chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defence Malaysia, Ybhg. Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, and Permanent Secretary (Defence) of the Ministry of Defence Singapore, H.E. Chan Heng Kee.

The meeting deliberated on issues related to the achievements, direction, exercise planning, and activities of the FPDA. Additionally, preparations for the 12th FPDA Defence Ministers’ Meeting (FDMM) at the Ministry of Defence level were discussed, scheduled to take place on the 31st of May 2024.

Also in attendance was Ambassadors from Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Headquarters Integrated Area Defence System (HQIADS).
