SABAH, 7 July 2024 – Minister of Defence, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin conducted a Working Visit to the Operasi Padanan and Sipadan Island Resort (Op PASIR) Sector Bravo Responsibility Area (KTJ) in Pulau Berhala, Sandakan, to assess the operational status of Op PASIR.

During his visit, the Minister had the opportunity to closely inspect the Malaysian Armed Forces' (MAF) readiness in the area, evaluate the local security situation, and interact with MAF officers and personnel stationed in Sandakan.

Additionally, the Minister of Defence presented donations on behalf of the Armed Forces Fund Board Foundation (YLTAT) in the form of sports and recreational equipment valued at RM10,000 to the personnel involved in Op PASIR.
