info

CYBERJAYA, 9 May 2024 – Minister of Defence Malaysia, YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin officiated the Turkish Aerospace Malaysia’s operations hub at Block 3720 Coplace 5, Cyberjaya.

Turkish Aerospace commenced its operations in 2021 as an Engineering Design Centre. Under the name TUSAS Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the company, branded as ‘Turkish Aerospace Malaysia,’ has grown exponentially and now employs 120 officers, experts, and local engineers.

Turkish Aerospace is a key industry player contributing significantly to the targets of the Defence Industry Blueprint and the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) Capability Development Plan 2055, also known as CAP55 (Capability Development 55).

The presence of Turkish Aerospace in Malaysia strengthens the national defense industry and positively impacts the aerospace sector.

During his visit, YB Minister of Defence toured the company's operations and witnessed demonstrations of advanced avionics products developed entirely in Cyberjaya. Avionics, the main electronic components that control modern aircraft, are akin to the 'brain' of these machines. The development of these avionics products in Malaysia positions the country on the world stage, joining a select group of elite countries with the expertise to fully design and develop key avionics components for both sub-sonic and supersonic aircraft.
